Prepare this rich, creamy smoked salmon dip in just 15 minutes. It is a simple, no-bake appetizer perfect for parties, brunches, or as a bagel spread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces smoked salmon, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon capers, drained and chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Place the softened cream cheese in a medium bowl. Use a hand mixer or a sturdy spoon to beat the cream cheese until it is smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the sour cream and fresh lemon juice to the bowl. Mix until fully combined and the mixture is light.
  3. Gently fold in the chopped smoked salmon, fresh dill, and chopped capers. Mix just enough to distribute the ingredients; avoid overmixing to keep some texture.
  4. Season the dip with black pepper and salt. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. Transfer the smoked salmon dip to a serving bowl. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Serve your creamy smoked salmon dip cold with crackers, bagel chips, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • You can prepare this dip up to one day ahead. Store it covered in the refrigerator.
  • For a bagel spread texture, use slightly less sour cream.
  • If you prefer a smoother dip, pulse the ingredients briefly in a food processor.
