Make this refreshing, sweet and tart frozen strawberry lemonade slush at home using simple ingredients. This is a quick homemade lemonade recipe perfect for summer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 45 lemons)
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional, for extra flavor)

Instructions

  1. Combine the frozen strawberries, fresh lemon juice, cold water, and granulated sugar in a high-speed blender.
  2. Add the ice cubes to the blender.
  3. Secure the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and has a slushy consistency. Stop and scrape down the sides if necessary.
  4. Taste the mixture. If you prefer it sweeter, add more sugar one tablespoon at a time and blend again briefly. If it is too thick, add a splash more water.
  5. Pour the frozen strawberry lemonade into chilled glasses.
  6. Garnish with a slice of fresh strawberry or a lemon wheel, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a copycat frozen strawberry lemonade texture, use slightly less ice and blend until just combined, avoiding over-blending which can make it too thin.
  • If you do not have fresh lemons, you can substitute with 1 cup of store-bought lemonade concentrate, reducing the added sugar to 1/4 cup initially.
  • To make this recipe with fresh strawberries instead of frozen, use 1.5 cups of fresh strawberries and increase the ice cubes to 1.5 cups to maintain the frozen texture.
