Ingredients
Scale
2 cups frozen strawberries
1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–5 lemons)
1 cup cold water
1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
1 cup ice cubes
1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional, for extra flavor)
Instructions
Combine the frozen strawberries, fresh lemon juice, cold water, and granulated sugar in a high-speed blender.
Add the ice cubes to the blender.
Secure the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and has a slushy consistency. Stop and scrape down the sides if necessary.
Taste the mixture. If you prefer it sweeter, add more sugar one tablespoon at a time and blend again briefly. If it is too thick, add a splash more water.
Pour the frozen strawberry lemonade into chilled glasses.
Garnish with a slice of fresh strawberry or a lemon wheel, if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
For a copycat frozen strawberry lemonade texture, use slightly less ice and blend until just combined, avoiding over-blending which can make it too thin.
If you do not have fresh lemons, you can substitute with 1 cup of store-bought lemonade concentrate, reducing the added sugar to 1/4 cup initially.
To make this recipe with fresh strawberries instead of frozen, use 1.5 cups of fresh strawberries and increase the ice cubes to 1.5 cups to maintain the frozen texture.
