Make this vibrant, non-alcoholic Firecracker Punch for your next celebration. It features layers of red, white, and blue and uses sherbet for a fun, fizzy effect.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (2 liter) bottle lemon-lime soda, chilled
  • 1 (64 ounce) bottle white grape juice, chilled
  • 1 (64 ounce) bottle cranberry-raspberry juice, chilled
  • 1 (16 ounce) container rainbow sherbet
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup Pop Rocks candy (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Chill all liquid ingredients thoroughly before starting.
  2. In a large punch bowl, pour in the chilled lemon-lime soda and white grape juice. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Slowly pour in the cranberry-raspberry juice. Do not stir vigorously; you want to maintain some separation for color effect.
  4. Just before serving, scoop large spoonfuls of the rainbow sherbet into the punch bowl. The sherbet will float and create a foamy, ‘exploding’ look.
  5. Scatter the fresh raspberries and blueberries over the top of the punch and sherbet.
  6. For the final ‘firecracker’ effect, sprinkle the Pop Rocks candy over the surface of the punch immediately before guests arrive. Serve quickly while the candy is still popping.

Notes

  • For an alcoholic firecracker punch, substitute 3 cups of vodka or white rum for an equal amount of the white grape juice.
  • If you want a dry ice punch effect, place a small, food-safe chunk of dry ice in a separate, smaller container placed inside the punch bowl, ensuring it does not directly contact the liquid or get served to guests.
  • Prepare all liquid bases ahead of time. Add the sherbet and Pop Rocks only at the last minute for the best visual impact.
