Make this rich, smooth, and versatile garlic sauce in under 10 minutes using only five simple ingredients. It is perfect for dipping fries, topping chicken, or mixing into pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter version)
  • 4 cloves Fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice, fresh
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper into a small bowl.
  2. Use a whisk or a fork to combine all ingredients thoroughly until the sauce is completely smooth and creamy.
  3. Taste the sauce and adjust salt, pepper, or lemon juice as needed for your preference.
  4. For best flavor, cover the bowl and chill the garlic sauce in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving.
  5. Serve as a dip for breadsticks or vegetables, or drizzle over grilled chicken or pasta.

Notes

  • For a Garlic Parmesan Sauce variation, mix in 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese with the other ingredients.
  • To create a Cilantro Garlic Sauce alternative, add 2 tablespoons of finely chopped fresh cilantro to the mixture.
  • If you prefer a thinner sauce consistency, add 1 teaspoon of water at a time until you reach your desired thickness.
