Prepare this easy, creamy dill dip in minutes. It is a crowd-pleasing appetizer perfect for parties, game days, or serving with fresh vegetables and chips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the softened cream cheese in a medium mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the sour cream, fresh dill, dried parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
  3. Mix on low speed until all ingredients are just combined and the dip is smooth. Do not overmix.
  4. For the best flavor, cover the bowl and chill the dip for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to blend.
  5. Serve your homemade dill dip cold with fresh vegetables, crackers, or potato chips.

Notes

  • For a tangier dip, substitute half of the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt.
  • If you want a deeper dill flavor, mix the fresh dill into the sour cream base and let it sit for two hours in the refrigerator before mixing with the cream cheese.
  • This dip is excellent as a spread on sandwiches or wraps.
