Make this easy weeknight casserole using ground beef, taco seasoning, and a crunchy topping of Nacho Cheese Doritos. It is a simple baked dish perfect for family favorite meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chiles, drained
  • 3 cups Nacho Cheese Doritos, lightly crushed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat until the beef is browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, milk, taco seasoning, cheddar cheese, and green chiles. Mix well.
  4. Stir in 2 cups of the crushed Doritos into the meat and soup mixture.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of crushed Doritos over the top of the casserole.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is lightly browned.
  8. Let the casserole stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier flavor, add a dash of hot sauce to the meat mixture.
  • You can substitute ground turkey for the ground beef if you prefer.
  • Use any flavor of Doritos you like, but Nacho Cheese provides the classic taco inspired cooking flavor.
