1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Continue cooking, stirring often, until the butter foams, then brown bits form at the bottom and it smells nutty. This is brown butter. Pour the brown butter into a large, heat-safe bowl, scraping in the browned bits. Let cool for 15 minutes.
Add the brown sugar and granulated sugar to the slightly cooled brown butter. Whisk until well combined.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined. Do not overmix.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Cover the bowl and chill the cookie dough for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, for best texture.
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
